These onboard systems are set by the manufacturer Mercedes Benz to count down the mileage intervals until the scheduled maintenance is due. Once the mileage is reached, the vehicle will illuminate the service light on your cars or SUV’s monitor. Basic service is known as " Service A ". The more comprehensive service is known as " Service B ". Your vehicle is programmed to know which service is due at what mileage. You can even access your owner’s manual for the procedures to follow. Usually these services rotate every 10,000 miles or once per year.
